Best polish food I've ever had 10/10. The ambience was very welcoming and inviting with many hanging plants and beautiful artwork on the wall. Service was excellent the waitresses were very efficient and kind.

Fantastic, rich food with great depth of flavor. Highlights for me were the smoked Polish sausage, beets w/ honey, mashed potatoes with horseradish, Devolay (stuffed/breaded chicken), and dill pickle soup. The cocktails were fun and delicious. We could not comprehend how the "My Polish Drink" which was just sprite, apple juice, vodka, and some other liqueur I can't remember, was so incredibly tasty. The overall value for dinner for our group was spectacular, I just wish we had saved room for dessert.

We came in on a Saturday and were able to get a table immediately. The menu has a lot of options, but since it was our first time we opted for the polish plate for 2 and a salad. The salad was on their daily specials list, and it was okay but nothing life changing. The polish plate came out and it was massive! It has perogies, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, polish sausage, breaded chicken, bacon wrapped plums, and veggies. We definitely had a lot of food and left full, and the bang for the buck is definitely there. Would definitely recommend!

Food was so yummy and has a very warm home cooked aspect to it. The people serving were so sweet! The whole environment was very rustic and cozy especially being in the city

I ordered a Togo order of peirogis and sausage. When I stepped inside there wasn't an obvious place to pick up my order so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The lady brought me out my order without me even having to tell her what I was there for! The pierogis were buttery and delicious. The sausage was good too. We didn't get utensils which was unfortunate because we had to eat with our hands. A little messy but delicious all the same. They had a side party room where a little girl was having a birthday party. It seemed like a nice space!

This place is a Chicago institution, but I didn't expect to be blown away like I was. At $38, the Special for Two platter is probably the best value dinner in terms of quantity and quality that I've had in Chicago. It includes all of the greatest hits: potato pancakes, polish sausage, breaded chicken, steamed veggies, bacon wrapped plum, pierogis, and stuffed cabbage. Everything was delicious but we particularly enjoyed the stuffed cabbage which tasted like a warm hug, the bacon wrapped plum because obviously, and the potato pancakes. I also tried the Pickle Soup which was a special because I was feeling adventurous and it was low key Super friendly service and cozy environs were the cherries on top.

If you're looking for some authentic & delicious Polish food, look no further! Came here with a group for NYE dinner and ordered a bunch of things to share and everything was great! You can't go to a Polish restaurant and not get pierogi. We got both the potato and cheese pierogi as well as the meat pierogi. Both were so so good, but my favorite was the traditional potato and cheese. They were tender, creamy delightful dumplings. Comes with sour cream to dip! Potato pancakes were light and crispy, also comes with a side of sour cream and apple sauce to dip. Polish sausages were smokey, tender and came with some grilled onions and sauce. Golabki (stuffed cabbage with meat) was very good as well! This comes in a curry type sauce. Veal meatballs were juicy and the sauce it came in was creamy and divine. Pork schnitzel was one of my favorites of the night! Perfectly crisp and the sunny side egg and cucumber salad paired really well with it! Service was quick and our server was very friendly. Definitely check this place out! I will be back for more.

LOVE this Polish gem! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, because we always dine here when I'm visiting Chicago! There are so many great things here: - creamy mushroom soup - all the pierogi! I love each of their offerings - fun to get a mix of them and do your own taste off. Don't skip out on the dessert pierogi :) - beef stroganoff is outstanding! The dumplings are so good in there too - seriously, get more pierogi ;) Gosh, I know I'm missing other specific items we've ordered, but seriously, everything we've tried has been great. The above are my go-tos each time though. ;)

Came back to Staropolska for take out to try the beef stroganoff. It was AMAZING. Rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, tender beef and hearty. It came with 2 side salads. We also got the mushroom soup again because it was so good. Also tried the chicken soup with lithuanian dumplings - a nice light option which was refreshing from all the creamy stuff. Definitely recommend.
